    Gather all the ingredients. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Set a roasting rack inside a large baking dish.

    Sprinkle sage and garlic powder over the entire turkey.

    Wrap the turkey completely with bacon.

    Place the turkey on the rack in the prepared baking dish. Pour water into the dish.

    Bake the turkey in the preheated oven, basting every 45 minutes with the juices in the baking dish, until the bone is no longer pink and the juices run clear, 3 1/2 to 4 hours. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the thigh should register at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).
