    Cook the bacon until just opaque. Blot it with paper towels. Season the chicken evenly with salt and pepper. Wrap each chicken breast with the bacon, securing the strips with toothpicks. Set aside.

    Preheat the grill to medium-high.

    Mix the ketchup with the maple syrup, mustard, lemon juice, and garlic. Brush half of the sauce all over the chicken.

    Place the chicken on the grill and reduce the heat to medium. Grill, turning and basting twice with the remaining sauce, until the bacon is almost crisp or the chicken is cooked through, about 15 minutes.

    Squeeze lemon wedges over the chicken and sprinkle with chives. Remove the toothpicks before serving.
