    Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

    In a bowl, mix oats, brown sugar, and 1/2 cup flour. Use 2 knives or a pastry blender to cut in the butter until the mixture is damp and crumbly.

    Spread the blackberries in an 8-inch square baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup flour over them and toss to coat well. Scatter the oat mixture on top.
