    In a large saucepan, combine blackberry juice, sugar, cloves, the cinnamon stick, and the lemon zest. Slowly bring to a boil, stirring until the sugar dissolves, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.

    Strain to remove the spices and add the rum.

    Pour the liqueur into a sterilized bottle and seal it. Store in a cool, dark place.
