    Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).

    In a large bowl, mix 3 1/2 cups of blackberries with 1/2 cup sugar and flour.

    Spoon the mixture into the unbaked pie crust.

    Scatter the remaining 1/2 cup of blackberries over the sweetened berries.

    Place the top crust over the pie.

    Seal and crimp the edges, then cut vents in the top crust to let steam escape.
