Brown Sugar Salmon

Dinner 🍽️Lunch 🥪 American High-Protein 💪Pescatarian 🐟

Brown Sugar Salmon features a glossy, sweet-salty glaze made with maple syrup, brown sugar, and soy sauce that bakes into a lightly caramelized crust. The fish stays moist and flaky with a gentle umami depth and toffee-like notes from the sugars. Ideal for a weeknight dinner, it pairs naturally with steamed vegetables and rice.

Brown Sugar Salmon
  1. 1

Mix brown sugar, maple syrup, and soy sauce in a glass dish. Add the salmon and marinate in the refrigerator for 20 minutes, turning the salmon after 10 minutes.

  2. 2

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Remove the salmon from the marinade, let the excess drip off, and place it on a baking sheet. Discard the remaining marinade.

  3. 3

Bake in the preheated oven until the salmon flakes easily with a fork, about 20 minutes.
