Caprese Garlic Bread

Appetizer 🧄Side Dish 🥗Lunch 🥪Snack 🍿 Italian 🇮🇹American Vegetarian 🥦

Caprese Garlic Bread pairs toasty, garlicky baguette with ribbons of melted mozzarella, ripe tomatoes, and fresh basil, finished with a tangy kiss of balsamic glaze. The contrast of crunchy edges and soft, cheesy center highlights bright, herbaceous notes and gentle acidity. Ideal for an Italian-style appetizer, game day spread, or a summery side to pasta and salads.

Caprese Garlic Bread
  1. 1

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C), and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Slice the bread in half lengthwise, lightly spray with olive oil, and set it on the baking sheet, cut side up.

  2. 2

In a small bowl, mix the butter and garlic; spread the mixture evenly over the bread halves, then top with the mozzarella slices.

  3. 3

Bake in the preheated oven until the cheese is melted and the bread edges begin to brown, 8 to 11 minutes.

  4. 4

Take it out of the oven, arrange the tomato slices over the cheese, season with salt and pepper, and sprinkle with basil. Drizzle with balsamic glaze, cut into slices, and serve.
