Chocolate-Covered Matzo
  1. 1

Gather the ingredients. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

  2. 2

Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and coat it with cooking spray; arrange the matzo boards in a single layer, breaking them if needed to fit.

  3. 3

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the butter and brown sugar; bring to a boil while stirring constantly, then continue boiling for about 3 minutes.

  4. 4

Pour the butter mixture evenly over the matzo on the prepared baking sheet. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and immediately lower the temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C); bake for 10 minutes. If the matzo are smoking too much, reduce the temperature to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).

  5. 5

Remove the baking sheet from the oven and sprinkle the matzo with chocolate chips. Let the chocolate sit to melt, about 5 minutes.

  6. 6

Spread the melted chocolate over the matzo; refrigerate until chilled and set. Break into pieces once cooled.
