Espresso-Spiced Filet Mignon features a rich, aromatic crust that highlights the buttery tenderness of the steak. Espresso-Spiced Filet Mignon
  1. 1

In a small bowl, mix the coffee, brown sugar, chili powder, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and cayenne pepper; set aside.

  2. 2

Let the steak come to room temperature.

  3. 3

Preheat an outdoor grill to medium-high.

  4. 4

Pat the steak dry with paper towels and generously season both sides with the coffee rub.

  5. 5

Place the steaks on the preheated grill, close the lid, and cook for 4 to 5 minutes.

  6. 6

Flip the steaks and cook for 4 to 5 minutes more, until an instant-read thermometer inserted near the center reads 130 to 135 degrees F (54 to 57 degrees C) for medium-rare.

  7. 7

Remove the steak from the grill, tent it with foil, and let it rest for a few minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.
