    Gather all the ingredients.

    Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

    Mix the crabmeat, cream cheese, mayonnaise, onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a medium bowl; spread the mixture in a 1-quart baking dish.

    Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. Meanwhile, cut a circle from the top of the bread; scoop out the inside to make a bread bowl. Tear the removed bread into pieces for dipping.

    Stir the baked crab dip and spoon it into the bread bowl. Place the bread bowl and the torn bread pieces on a medium baking sheet; bake for 10 more minutes. Serve hot.
