    Gather all ingredients.

    Make the marinade: In a glass bowl, combine soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, liquid smoke, brown sugar, salt, pepper, meat tenderizer, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.

    Place the beef strips in a 9x13-inch glass baking dish. Pour the marinade over them and toss until evenly coated. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for 8 hours or overnight.

    Take the beef strips out of the bowl and place them between two sheets of plastic wrap; pound to 1/8-inch thickness.

    Lay the pounded beef strips in a single layer on the dehydrator trays. Dry at the dehydrator's highest setting until the jerky is done to your preference, at least 4 hours.
