  1. 1

Put 1 teaspoon pomegranate seeds into 8 wells of a 16-cube ice tray; drop red currants into the remaining 8 wells. Fill all wells with water. Freeze until solid, 8 hours to overnight.

  2. 2

Combine the chopped cranberries, water, and sugar in a saucepan over low heat. Simmer, stirring often, until the cranberries are fully softened, about 15 minutes.

  3. 3

Strain the cranberries through a fine-mesh sieve, gently pressing the pulp to release the liquid. Allow the syrup to cool before covering, then refrigerate for 8 hours to overnight.

  4. 4

With a clean needle, thread popcorn and dried cranberries onto one long food-grade thread. Cut it into 8 equal strings.

  5. 5

Place 1 pomegranate ice cube and 1 red currant ice cube in each serving glass. Add 2 tablespoons syrup to each, top with 3/4 cup tonic water, and garnish with a lime wedge plus a string of popcorn and cranberries.
