    In a saucepan over medium heat, combine 1 cup water with the honey; cook, stirring constantly, until fully mixed. Remove from the heat; let cool for 15 to 20 minutes.

    Pour the cooled honey syrup into a pitcher. Add the remaining 2 ½ cups water and the lemon juice; stir to combine. Taste and adjust as needed.
