Wendy’s-Style Copycat Chili

    Assemble all the ingredients.

    Warm olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Press the ground beef into the hot oil to make one large patty; let the bottom brown for 8 to 10 minutes.

    Stir and crumble the browned beef. Keep cooking until it is no longer pink, about 5 minutes more.

    Stir the celery, onion, and bell pepper into the beef and cook until the onion turns translucent, about 5 minutes.

    Add the stewed tomatoes, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes with green chiles, and water.

    Break up any large pieces of stewed tomatoes.

    Stir in the chili seasoning. Stir in the kidney and pinto beans. Season with salt and pepper.

    Bring to a boil, then lower the heat to low and simmer for 1 hour.
