Combine the egg yolks, egg white, salt, sugar, and cream. Gradually stir in the flour until the dough is stiff enough to roll out.

Roll the dough out very thin, like paper, and cut it into triangles. (Grandma would cut a slit in the center of each and twist one corner through the slit to make them look fancier.)

Pour enough oil into a pot to cover a cookie. Heat the oil until a small piece of dough starts to fry when added. Deep fry each cookie in the hot oil until light brown. Remove the cookie from the oil and drain the excess oil on paper towels. Dust with confectioner's sugar.
