    In a small bowl, combine the soy sauce, ketchup, vegetable oil, garlic, salt, pepper, and oregano.

    Score both sides of the steak in a diamond pattern, about 1/8 inch deep. Rub the marinade over both sides of the meat. Refrigerate in a covered dish or resealable plastic bag to marinate for 5 to 6 hours, or overnight. Turn the meat every few hours.
