Citrus-Spiced Pumpkin Bread

   Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.

   Cut the orange into wedges; remove and discard the seeds. Pulse the orange with the peel in a food processor until finely ground; set aside.

   Cream the sugar and butter in a large bowl until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time; stir in the pumpkin, water, and ground orange.

   In another large bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, salt, baking powder, cinnamon, and cloves. Stir into the sugar-butter mixture until just moistened. Fold in the nuts and raisins. Spoon into the prepared loaf pan.

   Bake for 1 hour in the preheated oven, or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Let stand for 10 minutes, then remove from the pan and cool on a wire rack.
