Set the ham cut-side down in a roasting pan. Secure the pineapple slices to the ham with toothpicks.

Meanwhile, combine pineapple juice and 1 1/2 cup brown sugar in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Cook until the glaze slightly thickens, about 5 minutes. Remove from the heat but keep it warm.

After 30 minutes, pour some glaze over the ham; bake for 30 more minutes. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup brown sugar over the ham, then pour more glaze on top. Bake until an instant-read thermometer inserted in the center registers at least 140 degrees F (60 degrees C), about 30 more minutes.
