    Grease a 9x13-inch pan. Put the cereal in a large heatproof bowl.

    In a heavy saucepan, bring the corn syrup, white sugar, butter, cocoa powder, and brown sugar to a boil. Take it off the heat and stir in the vanilla; pour over the cereal and stir until very well combined.

    Press the mixture into the prepared pan. Let it cool completely before cutting into 24 squares, for at least 1 hour or up to one day.
