Slow-Cooker Fish Chowder

    Cook and stir the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until browned, 5 to 8 minutes. Drain the excess grease. Add the onion and the garlic to the bacon; cook and stir until the onion is translucent, about 5 minutes. Transfer everything to a slow cooker.

    Add the chicken stock to the slow cooker. Stir in the celery, potatoes, carrots, and corn; season with black pepper and red pepper flakes. Cover the slow cooker.
