Thai Beef

Dinner 🍽️Lunch 🥪 Thai 🇹🇭 High-Protein 💪Carnivore 🥩

Thinly sliced flank steak soaks up a lively mix of cracked coriander, dark brown sugar, soy, lime, garlic, and ginger, then is broiled briefly for glossy, caramelized edges. Thai Beef balances sweet, salty, and citrusy notes with a fragrant peppery snap, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or as a flavorful platter to share.

  1. 1

Put the flank steak in the freezer for 20 minutes.

  2. 2

In a bowl, whisk together the coriander, brown sugar, soy sauce, lime juice, garlic, and ground ginger until the marinade is well combined.

  3. 3

Take the steak out of the freezer and slice it thinly against the grain.

  4. 4

Place the steak in a large bowl, pour the marinade over it, and toss to coat. Cover the bowl and marinate at room temperature for 1 hour.

  5. 5

Position the oven rack about 6 inches from the heat source and preheat the oven's broiler. Line the bottom of a broiler pan with foil.

  6. 6

Arrange the steak slices in a single layer on the rack of the prepared broiler pan.

  7. 7

Broil in the preheated oven, brushing occasionally with the marinade, until the steak reaches your preferred doneness, 1 to 2 minutes for medium rare.
