Ingredients
- 4 Cups fresh blackberries
- 0.75 Cups white sugar, divided
- 0.5 Cups all-purpose flour
- 1 9 Inch double crust ready-to-use pie crust, packaged
- 2 Tablespoons (tbsp) milk
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
- In a large bowl, combine 3.5 cups of blackberries with 0.5 cup of sugar and the flour. Mix well.
- Spoon the blackberry mixture into the unbaked pie crust. Spread the remaining 0.5 cup of blackberries on top.
- Cover with the top crust, seal and crimp the edges, and cut vents in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
- Brush the top crust with milk and sprinkle with the remaining 0.25 cup of sugar.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. Reduce the oven temperature to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) and continue baking until the filling is bubbly and the crust is golden brown, about 20 to 25 minutes more.
- Cool on a wire rack before serving. Enjoy!
