Ingredients

  • 1 9 Inch prepared graham cracker crust
  • 2 Cups pumpkin puree
  • 1 14 Ounces (oz) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 Large egg
  • 1.25 Teaspoons (tsp) ground cinnamon, divided
  • 0.5 Teaspoon (tsp) ground ginger
  • 0.5 Teaspoon (tsp) ground nutmeg
  • 0.5 Teaspoon (tsp) salt
  • 0.25 Cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons (tbsp) all-purpose flour
  • 2 Tablespoons (tbsp) butter
  • 0.75 Cups walnuts, chopped

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, sweetened condensed milk, egg, 0.75 teaspoon of cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and salt. Mix well and pour the batter into the prepared graham cracker crust.
  3. Bake the pie at 425 degrees F (220 degrees C) for 15 minutes. Then, reduce the oven temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  4. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, flour, and the remaining 0.5 teaspoon of cinnamon. Cut in the butter until the mixture becomes crumbly. Stir in the chopped walnuts.
  5. Evenly sprinkle the walnut mixture over the pie. Continue baking for 40 minutes or until a knife inserted one inch from the edge comes out clean.
