Ingredients

  • 1 Cup water
  • 1 Cup white sugar
  • 12 Ounces fresh cranberries, packaged
  • 1 Whole orange, pureed
  • 1 Whole apple, peeled
  • 1 Whole pear, peeled
  • 1 Cup dried mixed fruit, sliced
  • 1 Cup pecans, chopped
  • 0.5 Teaspoon salt
  • 1 Teaspoon cinnamon, ground
  • 0.5 Teaspoon nutmeg, ground

Steps

  1. In a medium saucepan, bring the water and sugar to a boil until the sugar dissolves completely.
  2. Reduce the heat to a simmer and add the cranberries, pureed orange, apple, pear, dried mixed fruit, chopped pecans, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. Cover the saucepan and let the mixture simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cranberries burst.
  4. Remove from heat and allow the sauce to cool to room temperature before serving.
