  • 1 Cup pareve margarine, melted
  • 8 Ounces semisweet chocolate, melted
  • 6 Large eggs, whisked
  • 1 Cup sugar
  • 1 Cup ground almonds

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan and line the bottom with parchment paper.
  2. In a saucepan over low heat, melt the pareve margarine and semisweet chocolate together, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. In a large bowl, beat the eggs and sugar together until thick and pale.
  4. Gradually fold the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture until well combined.
  5. Gently fold in the ground almonds until the batter is smooth.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 40-45 minutes, or until the torte is set and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the torte to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove the sides of the springform pan and let it cool completely on a wire rack.
