Ingredients

  • 3 Whole eggs
  • 0.75 Cups white sugar
  • 0.75 Cups butter, melted
  • 1 Teaspoon (tsp) anise extract
  • 1 Teaspoon (tsp) vanilla extract
  • 0.75 Cups all-purpose flour, sifted
  • 1 Teaspoon (tsp) baking powder

Steps

  1. Preheat the pizzelle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  2. In a bowl, beat the sugar and eggs together using an electric mixer.
  3. Add the melted butter, anise extract, and vanilla extract to the mixture; beat until well blended.
  4. Gradually add the sifted flour and baking powder, beating until a smooth batter forms.
  5. Drop a spoonful of batter onto the preheated pizzelle iron.
  6. Bake until the pizzelle is golden, about 45 seconds.
  7. Carefully remove the pizzelle and cool on a cooling rack.
  8. Repeat the process with the remaining batter.
