- 16 Ounces (oz) package linguini pasta
- 3 Tablespoons (tbsp) olive oil
- 2 Cloves garlic, minced
- 0.5 Teaspoons (tsp) Italian seasoning
- 0.25 Teaspoons (tsp) dried thyme
- 0.25 Teaspoons (tsp) crushed red pepper flakes
- 28 Ounces (oz) can crushed tomatoes
- 6 Ounces (oz) can black olives, drained
- 10 Ounces (oz) can whole baby clams
- 6.5 Ounces (oz) can minced clams, drained
- 0.25 Pounds (lb) small salad shrimp
- 0.25 Pounds (lb) scallops
- 2.5 Teaspoons (tsp) lemon zest, zested
- Pinch salt, to taste
- Pinch ground black pepper, to taste
Steps
- In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the linguini until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a heavy saucepan over medium heat, sauté the minced garlic in olive oil until the garlic softens.
- Add Italian seasoning, dried thyme, crushed red pepper flakes, crushed tomatoes, black olives, and the juice from both cans of clams. Simmer for 15 minutes.
- Mix in the canned clams, shrimp, scallops, lemon zest, and salt and pepper to taste. Simmer for an additional 15 minutes or until the shrimp and clams are cooked through.
