  • 1 Tablespoon (tbsp) butter
  • 1 Tablespoon (tbsp) extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 Whole shallot, minced
  • 3 Tablespoons (tbsp) milk
  • 1 Ounce (oz) smoked salmon, torn
  • 1 Tablespoon (tbsp) reduced-fat cream cheese

Steps

  1. Fill a large pot with lightly salted water and bring to a rolling boil. Cook the linguine in boiling water until al dente, about 11 minutes. Drain, reserving 2 tablespoons of pasta water.
  2. In a saucepan over medium-low heat, melt the butter with the olive oil. Once the mixture begins to bubble, add the minced shallots and cook until softened.
  3. Stir in the milk, smoked salmon, and cream cheese into the shallots. Mix in the reserved pasta water until the sauce is well incorporated.
