Serving Size: 12
Cooking Time: 140 minutes
Ingredients
- 1.5 Cups graham cracker crumbs
- 0.33 Cups white sugar
- 0.33 Cups unsweetened cocoa powder
- 0.33 Cups butter, melted
- 24 Ounces (oz) cream cheese
- 14 Ounces (oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 3 Whole eggs
- 2 Teaspoons (tsp) vanilla extract
- 1 Cup mini semisweet chocolate chips, divided
- 1 Teaspoon (tsp) all-purpose flour
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C).
- Make the crust: In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar, cocoa, and melted butter. Press the mixture onto the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch springform pan. Set aside.
- Prepare the cheesecake: Beat the cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add the sweetened condensed milk, beating well. Add eggs and vanilla, and beat on medium speed until smooth.
- Toss 1/3 of the chocolate chips with flour to coat them (this prevents them from sinking to the bottom of the cake). Mix these chocolate chips into the cheesecake batter. Pour the batter into the prepared crust. Sprinkle the top with the remaining chocolate chips.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour. Turn off the oven (do not open the oven door) and leave the cake to cool in the oven for another hour. Remove from the oven and cool completely.
- Refrigerate the cheesecake before removing the sides of the pan. Keep the cake refrigerated until ready to serve.
