Ingredients

  • 16 Ounces (oz) frozen cut green beans, thawed
  • 10.5 Ounces (oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 0.5 Cups milk
  • 0.5 Cups sour cream
  • 0.5 Cups Swiss cheese, shredded
  • 1 2.8 Ounces (oz) package French-fried onions, divided
  • 1 Teaspoon (tsp) garlic salt
  • 1 Teaspoon (tsp) soy sauce
  • 1 Pinch black pepper, to taste

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. In a large casserole dish, mix together the green beans, condensed soup, 0.5 cups of milk, sour cream, Swiss cheese, half of the French-fried onions, garlic salt, soy sauce, and black pepper.
  3. Cover the dish and bake for 30 minutes. If a creamier consistency is desired, add a little more milk halfway through the cooking time.
  4. Remove the casserole from the oven and sprinkle the remaining French-fried onions on top.
  5. Bake uncovered until the casserole is bubbly, about 15 more minutes.
