Ingredients

  • 1 Pound (lb) sugar snap peas, trimmed
  • 3 Tablespoons (tbsp) olive oil, seasoned
  • 0.25 Cup soy sauce, low sodium
  • 0.25 Teaspoon (tsp) sesame oil
  • 2 Drops chili oil
  • 0.25 Teaspoon (tsp) brown sugar, packed
  • 2 Tablespoons (tbsp) sesame seeds, toasted

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven broiler and position the oven rack to the top setting.
  2. Place the trimmed sugar snap peas onto a baking pan. Drizzle with garlic-flavored olive oil and toss to coat evenly. Spread the peas out into a single layer on the pan.
  3. Broil the snap peas in the preheated oven until they are tender, about 5 minutes.
  4. While the peas are broiling, mix together the soy sauce, sesame oil, chili oil, brown sugar, and toasted sesame seeds in a large bowl.
  5. Once the snap peas are done, immediately toss them with the prepared sauce in the bowl. Serve hot or allow to cool for a chilled appetizer. Enjoy!
