- 1 Teaspoon (tsp) dried rosemary
- 1 Teaspoon (tsp) black pepper
- 0.5 Teaspoon (tsp) kosher salt
- 2 Bay leaves
- 8 Cups water

- In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and minced onion, sautéing until the onion is translucent and fragrant.
- Add the ham bone to the pot and pour in 8 cups of water. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer. Add the bay leaves, thyme, rosemary, black pepper, and kosher salt. Simmer for 30 minutes to infuse the broth with flavor.
