- 2 - 1.5 Pounds (lb) salmon fillets, peeled
- 1 - Cup miso paste
- 0.5 - Cup brown sugar
- 0.5 - Cup soy-ginger salad dressing, packaged
- 0.25 - Cup sake
- 0.25 - Cup water
- 3 - Tablespoons (tbsp) rice vinegar, seasoned
- 2 - Tablespoons (tbsp) sesame seeds
- 1 - Teaspoon (tsp) sesame oil
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
- Fill a large skillet with about 1 inch of water and bring to a boil. Poach the salmon fillets just until cooked on the outside, about 2 minutes per side. Transfer the fillets to a broiler pan.
- In a small bowl, stir together the miso paste, brown sugar, soy-ginger salad dressing, sake, water, rice vinegar, sesame seeds, and sesame oil. Spread this mixture over the tops of the salmon fillets.
- Bake the salmon in the preheated oven until almost cooked through, about 15 minutes.
- Switch the oven to broil, and broil the salmon until the top is browned and bubbly, about 5 more minutes.
- Cut the fillets into portions and serve.
