Ingredients
- 2 Pounds (lb) ground beef sirloin
- 0.5 Onion, grated
- 1 Tablespoon (tbsp) grill seasoning
- 1 Tablespoon (tbsp) liquid smoke flavoring
- 2 Tablespoons (tbsp) Worcestershire sauce
- 2 Tablespoons (tbsp) garlic, minced
- 1 Tablespoon (tbsp) adobo sauce from canned chipotle peppers
- 1 Chipotle chile in adobo sauce, minced
- 1 Pinch salt, to taste
- 1 Pinch pepper, to taste
- 6 1 Ounce (oz) slices sharp Cheddar cheese (optional)
- 6 Hamburger buns
Steps
- Preheat an outdoor grill to medium-high heat.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground sirloin, grated onion, grill seasoning, liquid smoke, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, adobo sauce, and minced chipotle pepper. Mix well and form the mixture into 6 patties. Season with salt and pepper.
- Place the burgers on the preheated grill and cook until they are no longer pink in the center. An instant-read thermometer should read at least 160 degrees F (70 degrees C) when inserted into the center.
- One minute before the burgers are done, place a slice of Cheddar cheese on top of each patty to melt.
- Serve the burgers on hamburger buns and enjoy!
