- 4 Pounds (lb) boneless chuck roast
- 2 Tablespoons (tbsp) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 Whole onion, minced
- 12 Ounces (oz) chili sauce
- 3 Tablespoons (tbsp) distilled white vinegar
- 3 Cloves garlic, minced
- 2 Tablespoons (tbsp) brown sugar
- 2 Tablespoons (tbsp) Worcestershire sauce
- 1 Teaspoon (tsp) mustard powder
- 1 Teaspoon (tsp) salt
- 0.5 Teaspoon (tsp) black pepper, ground
- 0.125 Teaspoon (tsp) cayenne pepper, ground
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
- Place the boneless chuck roast in a large covered pan. Roast in the preheated oven until the meat falls apart and shreds easily, about 2 hours.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced onion and cook until translucent.
