Serving Size: 4

Cooking Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients

  • 0.25 Cup olive oil
  • 2 Tablespoons (tbsp) lime juice
  • 2 Tablespoons (tbsp) tequila
  • 1 Pinch garlic salt, to taste
  • 1 Pinch ground cumin, to taste
  • 1 Pinch ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 Pound large shrimp, peeled
  • 6 10 Inch (in) wooden skewers
  • 1 Large lime, quartered

Steps

  1. Whisk together olive oil, lime juice, tequila, garlic salt, cumin, and black pepper in a bowl until well blended. Pour the mixture into a large resealable plastic bag.
  2. Add the shrimp to the bag, ensuring they are well coated with the marinade. Squeeze out excess air and seal the bag. Marinate in the refrigerator for 1 to 4 hours.
  3. Soak the wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning.
  4. Preheat an outdoor grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grate, placing it about 4 inches from the heat source.
  5. Remove the shrimp from the marinade and shake off any excess. Discard the remaining marinade. Thread the shrimp onto the prepared skewers, 5 to 6 shrimp per skewer.
  6. Grill the shrimp, uncovered, until they turn pink, about 5 to 7 minutes, flipping once.
  7. Serve the grilled shrimp skewers with lime wedges for an extra burst of flavor. Enjoy!
