- 0.5 Teaspoons (tsp) honey
- 1 Teaspoon (tsp) lime juice
- 1 Tablespoon (tbsp) balsamic vinegar
- 1 Pinch salt, to taste
- 1 Pinch pepper, to taste
- 1 Tablespoon (tbsp) bacon grease, melted
- 1 Clove garlic, minced
- 2 Tablespoons (tbsp) red onion, minced
- 1 15.5 Ounces (oz) can black beans, drained
- 2 Tablespoons (tbsp) water
Steps
- In a bowl, combine the diced tomato, 2 tablespoons of red onion, cilantro, and honey. Season with lime juice, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper. Set aside to let the flavors meld.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the bacon grease. Add the minced garlic and 2 tablespoons of red onion, cooking until softened and translucent, about 3 minutes.
