  • 1 - Cube chicken bouillon
  • 1.5 - Teaspoons (tsp) black pepper, ground
  • 1 - Pinch salt, to taste
  • 1 - Cup frozen peas
  • 1 - Cup frozen corn

Steps

  1. Pour 1/2 inch of water into a large pan over medium heat and bring to a simmer, about 2 minutes. Add the chicken breasts, cover, and cook until no longer pink in the center, about 15 to 20 minutes. Ensure the internal temperature reaches at least 165°F (74°C). Transfer the chicken to a plate and shred once cool enough to handle.
  2. In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour and stir continuously with a wooden spoon or whisk until a thick paste forms. Continue cooking the roux for 2 minutes.
