Ingredients

  • 5 Pounds (lb) medium shrimp, with shells
  • 2 Pounds (lb) butter
  • 1 Medium sweet onion, minced
  • 8 Cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 Stalks celery, divided
  • 0.25 Cups fresh parsley, divided
  • 2 Tablespoons (tbsp) Creole seasoning
  • 2 Tablespoons (tbsp) dried rosemary
  • 1 Pinch ground black pepper, to taste
  • 0.5 Cups Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 Teaspoons (tsp) fresh lemon juice

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Arrange the shrimp in a single layer in as many baking dishes as needed. Set aside.
  2. Melt 0.5 pounds of butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced onion, garlic, divided celery, divided parsley, Creole seasoning, and dried rosemary. Cook and stir for a few minutes until the onion is tender.
  3. Add the remaining butter to the skillet and cook until melted over low heat. Stir in a pinch of ground black pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and fresh lemon juice.
  4. Pour the butter mixture over the shrimp, ensuring they are completely submerged.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven until the shrimp are pink, about 15 to 20 minutes. Serve hot and enjoy the rich flavors of this classic Louisiana dish.
