  • 0.5 Cup soy sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons (tbsp) vegetable oil
  • 2 Tablespoons (tbsp) ketchup
  • 1 Teaspoon (tsp) dried oregano
  • 1 Teaspoon (tsp) black pepper, ground
  • 1 Pound (lb) flank steak

  2. Pierce the steak with a fork on both sides to allow the marinade to penetrate.
  3. Place the steak and marinade in a large resealable plastic bag, ensuring the meat is well-coated. Refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight for best results.
  4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  5. Lightly oil the grill grate to prevent sticking.
  6. Remove the steak from the marinade and discard the marinade.
  7. Place the steak on the grill and cook for 5 to 8 minutes per side, depending on the thickness of the steak and your preferred level of doneness. Avoid overcooking for a more tender result.
