Ingredients

  • 3 Pounds (lb) fresh blueberries, crushed
  • 1.5 Pounds (lb) pitted fresh sweet cherries, crushed
  • 1 11 Ounces (oz) can mandarin orange segments, drained
  • 0.25 Cups lemon juice
  • 1 1.75 Ounces (oz) package powdered fruit pectin, packaged
  • 5.5 Cups white sugar

Steps

  1. In a large pot, combine the crushed blueberries, cherries, mandarin oranges, lemon juice, and powdered fruit pectin.
  2. Bring the mixture to a rolling boil over medium-high heat.
  3. Stir in the white sugar until it dissolves completely and the mixture returns to a rolling boil.
  4. Boil the mixture for 1 minute, then remove from heat.
  5. Pour the hot jam into sterilized jars, leaving some space at the top.
  6. Top with sterilized lids and secure with bands.
  7. Process the jars in a boiling water bath for 5 minutes to ensure a proper seal.
  8. Allow the jars to cool slowly, creating a vacuum seal.
  9. Let the jam sit at room temperature for 1 to 2 days to set.
  10. Refrigerate after opening.
