Ingredients

  • 1 Pound (lb) firm tofu
  • 0.25 Cups brown miso
  • 0.33 Cups roasted tahini
  • 2 Tablespoons (tbsp) onion, minced
  • 3 Tablespoons (tbsp) carrot, minced (optional)
  • 3 Tablespoons (tbsp) sunflower seeds, unsalted

Steps

  1. Press the tofu to remove excess water by placing it on a flat surface. Cover with a cutting board and place a heavy object, like an iron skillet, on top. Allow it to sit for about 30 minutes.
  2. Crumble the pressed tofu into a medium bowl.
  3. Mix in the brown miso and roasted tahini until well combined.
  4. If desired, stir in the minced onion, minced carrot, and unsalted sunflower seeds.
  5. Refrigerate the mixture until ready to serve. Enjoy on your choice of bread or crackers.
