Ingredients

  • 4 Large baking potatoes, peeled
  • 1 16 Ounces (oz) can baked beans
  • 1 12 Ounces (oz) can corned beef, sliced
  • 1 Pinch Worcestershire sauce, to taste
  • 0.5 Cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  2. Place the cubed potatoes in a large pot with just enough water to cover them. Bring to a boil and simmer until tender, about 10 minutes. Drain and mash the potatoes, seasoning them with milk, butter, and salt to taste.
  3. Pour the baked beans into the bottom of a 1.5-quart casserole dish. Arrange the sliced corned beef on top of the beans in an even layer. Season with a pinch of Worcestershire sauce. Top with the mashed potatoes.
  4. Bake uncovered for 25 minutes in the preheated oven. The mashed potatoes should start to crisp up but not yet brown.
  5. Top with the shredded Cheddar cheese and return to the oven. Bake for another 20 minutes, or until the cheese is browned.
  6. Serve hot, optionally with vegetables or crusty French bread. Enjoy!
