- 0.5 Cups white sugar
- 2 Large eggs
- 5 Tablespoons (tbsp) unsalted butter, melted
- 0.75 Cups all-purpose flour
- 1 Teaspoon (tsp) baking powder
- 0.5 Lemon, zested
- 0.5 Lemon, juiced
- 0.25 Teaspoon (tsp) vanilla extract
- 0.33 Cups confectioners' sugar, sifted
Steps
- Blend the white sugar and eggs in a large bowl. Add the melted butter and blend well.
- Blend in the all-purpose flour, baking powder, lemon juice, lemon zest, and vanilla extract on low speed. Cover the bowl with a dish towel and let it sit at room temperature for 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Butter and flour the madeleine molds.
- Whisk the batter and spoon it into the prepared molds, filling them 3/4 full.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes.
