Serving Size: 6

Cooking Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients

  • 0.5 Cups (cups) balsamic vinegar
  • 0.25 Cups (cups) olive oil
  • 3 Cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 Tablespoons (tbsp) Italian flat-leaf parsley, minced
  • 2 Teaspoons (tsp) fresh rosemary, minced
  • 2 Teaspoons (tsp) fresh thyme, minced
  • 1 Teaspoon (tsp) dried sage
  • 1 Pinch salt, to taste
  • 1 Pinch pepper, to taste
  • 1.5 Pounds (lbs) skinless, boneless chicken breasts

Steps

  1. In a blender, combine balsamic vinegar, olive oil, minced garlic, minced parsley, minced rosemary, minced thyme, dried sage, salt, and pepper. Blend until the mixture is well combined and smooth.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in a glass dish or bowl. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring each piece is well coated. Cover the dish and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or up to 48 hours for deeper flavor.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grill grate to prevent sticking.
  4. Remove the chicken from the marinade, allowing any excess to drip off. Discard the remaining marinade.
  5. Grill the chicken for 6 to 7 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is no longer pink in the center and the juices run clear. An instant-read thermometer should read at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C) when inserted into the thickest part of the chicken.
  6. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving to allow the juices to redistribute. Serve hot, garnished with additional fresh herbs if desired.
