Ingredients

  • 5 Pounds (lb) new red potatoes
  • 3 Pounds (lb) kielbasa sausage, sliced
  • 8 Fluid Ounces (fl oz) liquid shrimp and crab boil seasoning
  • 1 Pinch salt, to taste
  • 12 Ears fresh corn, peeled
  • 4 Whole lemons, halved
  • 1 Tablespoon (tbsp) diced green chile pepper
  • 10 Pounds (lb) medium shrimp, peeled
  • 12 Whole blue crabs, cleaned

Steps

  1. Fill a large 40-quart pot halfway with water and bring it to a rolling boil.
  2. Add the potatoes, sausage, shrimp and crab boil seasoning, and salt. Cook until the potatoes are halfway done, about 10 minutes.
  3. Stir in the corn, lemons, and green chile pepper. Continue boiling until the vegetables are tender, about 10 more minutes. Turn off the heat.
  4. Add the shrimp and crabs to the pot. Cover and let the seafood steep in the hot water until the shrimp turn pink and the crabmeat is opaque and flaky, about 10 to 15 minutes.
  5. Carefully remove the vegetables and shellfish from the pot and drain well.
  6. Serve immediately on a table covered with newspaper for easy cleanup. Enjoy the feast with family and friends!
