Ingredients

  • 1 Unit cooking spray
  • 2 Ripe avocados, pureed
  • 0.5 Cups (cup) raw honey
  • 0.25 Cups (cup) white sugar
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 1.5 Teaspoons (tsp) pure vanilla extract
  • 0.5 Cups (cup) unbleached all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 Cups (cup) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 0.5 Teaspoons (tsp) baking soda
  • 1 Pinch salt, to taste
  • 0.5 Cups (cup) semisweet chocolate chips

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8x8-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. Scoop out the avocado pulp and purée it in the bowl of a food processor. Add honey and sugar; blend until smooth.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla extract to the mixture and blend, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed.
  4. Add flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and a pinch of salt; pulse until blended.
  5. Remove the blade from the food processor and scrape down the sides to ensure the batter is completely blended. Stir in chocolate chips.
  6. Pour the brownie mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly using a spoon that has been sprayed with cooking spray.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, about 25 to 30 minutes.
  8. Allow to cool before serving. Enjoy your rich and gooey avocado brownies!
