  • 0.5 Cups (cup) butter, melted
  • 4 Ounces (oz) unsweetened chocolate, melted
  • 1.5 Cups (cup) white sugar
  • 3 Large eggs
  • 1 Teaspoon (tsp) vanilla extract
  • 1.5 Cups (cup) self-rising flour, sifted
  • 0.5 Cups (cup) cocoa powder, sifted

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Butter the bottom of a 7x11-inch freezer-safe baking pan.
  2. Melt the butter and chocolate in a small pan over medium-low heat, stirring constantly. Add the sugar and remove from heat. Stir in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the flour and cocoa powder. Add the butter-chocolate mixture and mix thoroughly. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, about 35 minutes. Immediately place the brownies in the freezer to lock in the moisture.
