Ingredients

  • 1 29 Ounces (oz) sliced peaches, drained
  • 0.25 Cups white sugar
  • 2 Teaspoons (tsp) ground cinnamon, to taste
  • 1 9 Ounces (oz) yellow cake mix, packaged
  • 4 Teaspoons (tsp) margarine

Steps

  1. Discard half of the juice from the canned peaches and pour the peaches with the remaining juice into a large saucepan.
  2. Sprinkle the peaches with white sugar and ground cinnamon.
  3. Cover the peaches with the yellow cake mix in an even layer.
  4. Place the margarine on top of the cake mix in the center.
  5. Cover the saucepan with a lid and bring to a simmer over medium-high heat.
  6. Once steam begins to escape from the saucepan, reduce the heat to medium-low and continue cooking for 10 minutes without lifting the lid.
  7. Remove the saucepan from heat and allow it to stand with the lid on for an additional 15 minutes.
