- 1.33 Cups all-purpose flour
- 3 Tablespoons white sugar
- 1.5 Teaspoons baking powder
- 0.5 Teaspoons baking soda

- 2 Teaspoons white sugar
- 0.25 Teaspoons nutmeg, grated
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Submerge peaches in boiling water for about 1 minute to loosen the skins. Remove with a slotted spoon and run under cold water. Peel the peaches.

- Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, or until peaches are hot and bubbly.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, 3 tablespoons sugar, baking powder, and baking soda. Cut in butter with a pastry blender until the mixture resembles small peas. Pour buttermilk over the top and toss with a fork until the mixture clumps together.
- Remove hot peaches from the oven, uncover, and drop heaping tablespoons of dough over the peaches.
- In a small cup, mix 2 teaspoons sugar and nutmeg. Sprinkle over the biscuits.
- Bake until biscuits are golden brown, about 30 minutes.
- Set the dish on a wire rack to cool for 10 to 15 minutes before serving.
